There is a common misconception among candidates that the examiner is looking for the finest possible ideas in order to solve the question and that they will award better band scores if they do so.

In reality, this is not the case. In the grading method that the examiner employs, there is nothing that examines how intelligent your thoughts are, or that allows him or her to deduct points from them if he or she finds them to be too monotonous or uninteresting.

This means that they are required to respond to the question that has been posed to them. They must, of course, be adequately explained through further help.

There is just not enough time to complete this task with only 40 minutes to plan and compose the essay. There is no point in starting an essay if you are not going to finish it or if your grammar is awful because you are rushing to finish it.
