RDBMS (RELATIIONAL DATABASE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM)

This textbook ‘RDBMS (Relational Database Management Systems)’ designed for the

students of BBA (Computer Applications) Formerly known as BCA, Semester – III as per New

Revised Syllabus. RDBMS is one of the most rapidly growing areas of Computer and

Information Technology. Basically, Relational Database Management systems is nothing

more than a computer based record keeping system that is a system whose overall purpose

is to record and maintain information.

The objective of Relational Database Management Systems is to provide a convenient

and effective method of defining, sorting and retrieving the information stored in the

database.
