Computerized Accounting System has been introduced as a new subject for the students of B.Com. Semester IVth in Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra. Computerized Accounting System is a modern substitute for manual accounting. Accounting as a subject has become so complex that it cannot be handled easily with pen & paper format. The introduction of GST in the indirect tax system requires (GST) returns to be filed on an almost monthly basis. Computerized Accounting has an edge over manual accounting in every aspect. Not only it saves time in the computation of tax liability but it also makes it comfortable for a businessman to monitor the accounts more efficiently & accurately. Computerized Accounting makes it easy to file the GST returns as GST portal supports the exported excel files automatically. It saves a businessman from the hazards of going to an expert for getting the returns filed.
